Note: All instructions should conform to local plumbing codes. The following instructions are general in nature.
Before placing the torch on the post, connect a 6 to 8 foot long piece of 3/8" O.D. copper tubing for the Bali Malumai and 1/4" O.D. copper tubing for the Bali Gulf and Tulip torches to the flare valve in the torch hub. Be sure to test for leaks before installing the torch onto the post. In order for the torch to have an adequate supply of gas, it is recommended that no more than 8 foot of 3/8 copper tubing is used. Be sure to line up the gas stop adjusting hole on the torch hub with the slotted hole in the post. The stop can be used for on / off operation or for flame adjustment. The pipe size for the remainder of the supply line should be determined by the distance which the line will be run.
After the torch has been installed on the post, and the connection to the connection to the gas supply has been made, if you have a torch with lava rock, pour the lava rock into the torch bowl. Level the rock with your hand. Moving the lava rock around allows you to adjust the pattern of the flame to your satisfaction.
This appliance should be installed no less than 10 feet horizontally or vertically to any combustible material. The torch must also be installed a minimum of 76" from ground level to the top of the torch.
